'My Internment' - George Kenner Exhibition Talk and Tour

Tue, 22 Aug 2023

As our very special 2023 'My Internment' Exhibition draws to a close, on the mornings of 6th and 9th of September we are offering two new fully Guided Tours of the Centre and site of Knockaloe Camp.

Each Guided Tour takes you from the start of George Kenner's internment at Frith Hill Camp, told through his paintings on display at the Visitors Centre, following the onward internment for both George and his fellow Frith Hill internees, as we tour onto and through Knockaloe Camp, his devastating experiences of post war Germany, until the family could settle, at last.

The morning tour includes complimentary refreshments to start, an introduction to his incredible paintings (on display in the Visitors Centre only until 23 September 2023), followed by a tour of the site of the camp itself, all conducted by Charity Trustee Alison Jones. The event commences at 10.15am and should finish around 12.30-1pm dependant upon group size.

Tickets must be booked in advance as spaces are limited, and are £10pp, ALL of which goes towards the Registered Charity's work 🙂 (note that the Charity does not have any Government or Lottery funding and relies totally on donations and voluntary support).
