We are a Registered Charity funded entirely by donation. We do not have any funding from Government or the Lottery and are not in any way linked to Manx National Heritage. Our Trustees are 100% voluntary and personally fund our one part time staff member. We also have a wonderful group of volunteers.
We are so grateful to those who support the Charity's ongoing work by hugely valued contributions to the work of the Charity including those donating or sharing items to support the Charity's collation and interpretation, by sharing our work and by providing those all critical donations as part of your visit, to support the work which has gone into helping families find out more, or via significant one off funding donations both from descendants and the wonderful support from local people and others via fabulous donations of funding, artefacts and sharing their amazing collections. Find out more about how these incredible donations can help us below.
Your support is fundamental in ensuring our future so we can continue to bring these stories together and retell this very hidden history of WW1. Please support us and be part of this amazing project to re-tell thousands of human stories of an incredible largely untold aspect of WW1.
Share your family story with us by email info@knockaloe.im. To find out more about your family's internee ancestor, contact us in advance of your visit - Visitor Centre opening times can be found here.
