We were so incredibly disappointed to not be able to secure at auction this very special piece pictured below and designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh to bring it back to where it was first created here at Knockaloe. The bidding simply went too high...

We should also say a huge thank you to Dr Jen Llywelyn for putting Tom Derbyshire from ATG in touch. We so enjoyed meeting Jen a few years ago when she was researching the workshops at Knockaloe and Charles Matt (who our visitors will know is rather special to us here and is featured both in our Visitor Centre and Garden of Barbed Wire together with the wonderful Mr Baily). We should also like to say a really huge thank you to Mike Kelly who spotted the item at auction - we really tried our best but sadly it wasn't to be this time...
