To have a working steam scale model of Caledonia donated to the Charity is just phenomenal, and so very special in this week as the Island celebrates 150 years of its Heritage Steam Railway. 🚂
Thank you so much to Robert (pictured at Sunday's event) and Clare for so generously donating her so that visitors will be able to see her in situ at the Centre, permanently.
It was fascinating chatting to people this week who were really appreciating just what a incredible item this scratch built scale model is - peer inside her cab and you can see all of the working parts that allow her to get under steam allowing her to pull (or push!) scaled down waggons and carriages. We can but dream ......🚂🚂🚂🚂
As Robert explained, thanks must also go to former owners John and Lucy who kept her safe and pristine for so many years and ensured she remained in Patrick.
Although full size Caledonia left us this week, little Caledonia will forever remain to help tell her story💕
